Let’s Talk Science STEM Club

Join us for fun and interactive STEM activities intended for Grade 4-6 students! Each week features a different hands-on activity using minimal, easy-to-find materials.  Children will also have the chance to learn from and ask questions to inspiring STEM role models. 

STEM Club is a series of 6 weekly activities. You are welcome to attend all or any of the weeks listed below depending on your schedule and availability. Each activity will run for approximately 40-60 minutes.

Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m., beginning on Jan. 27, 2022.

Brain Buster

January 27 – No Materials required.

Create Your Own Parachute

Febuary 3 – Materials: Parachute template, string, scissors, tape..

Cryptography

Febuary 10 – Materials: Cryptography wheel template, paperclip, scissors, tape.

Wind Turbine

Febuary 17 – Materials: Wind turbine template, thumbtack, tape, pencil, scissors. Optional: extra wide straw, string.

Fingerprinting

Febuary 24 – Materials: Fingerprinting template sheet, pencil, clear tape.

Space Probe Lander

March 3 –  Materials: Card stock, scissors, tape, pencil crayons, craft or recycled materials.
